Because no two scratches are alike, no two results are the same.

Scratch Cover's priority is to make the plunger smooth again to extend the fork's life.

The aesthetic result is more unpredictable and will largely depend on the depth of the scratches: the deeper the scratch, the easier it is to fill with resin; the more superficial the scratch, the more difficult it will be to conceal because the surface treatment is extremely fine.

In most cases, Scratch Cover will not make your plunger look like new, but it will visually reduce the appearance of the scratch.

The mechanical stresses aren't that different, and the epoxy resin is very durable.

It's easy to achieve a very dense black color from a small amount of black liquid pigment, but it's significantly more difficult to achieve gold.Gold coloring would require a very large quantity of powdered pigment to ensure good coverage of the striped areas.

Incorporating a significant amount of this powder into the epoxy/hardener mix alters the resin's mechanical properties and therefore the durability of the repair.

We use a high strength epoxy resin. This resin is a thermosetting liquid polymer. Its drying time can vary from 6 to 8 hours depending on the ambient temperature and humidity. Make sure to mix the 2 liquids for at least 3 minutes, this step is key so that the resin dries completely within the announced time.

If it's a simple, superficial impact that doesn't alter the stanchion's shape, replacing the fork stanchion isn't necessary.The important thing is to repair it as soon as possible after the impact to avoid damaging the seals. However, if the tube is deformed, it's essential to stop using the fork immediately.
