Shimano brakes use short 2-finger levers. For those with small hands or who like to bring their levers closer together, Nock handguards can be positioned inside the lever on the latest generation of Shimano MTB brakes.

Hitting a tree with an hard plastic shield rather than directly with the hand still hurts and can damage your pinkie. So we've added an shock-absorbing foam inside the shield that works like a mattress between your hand and the shield.

Breaking a lever can be annoying, especially when racing or riding in the backcountry. The shape of the shield offers extra protection to make sure your lever is safe when crashing.
